Attunement
When you're called to the Reiki path and undertake the training to become a Reiki practitioner, you're entering a mystical healing path through an initiation process. In Reiki, this initiation process is referred to as "Attunement" and is given to students in both Reiki Level I & Level II courses. It's important to understand that the attunement makes a Reiki practitioner; without the attunement you do not have the ability to access and use Reiki.
The attunement process initiates the students into the Reiki stream, brings the students in contact with the Higher Spiritual Powers and the Lineage of the Reiki Masters who have gone before us, and confers upon the students the ability to use and channel Reiki for healing self and others. The attunement process opens the students' energy centers (especially spiritual centers) and performs deep healing, cleansing, release, realignment, and raising the frequency of the students' energy on all levels physical, emotional, astral, mental, soul/spirit. This is preparation to strengthen and enable the students' physical and subtle bodies to receive and work with the inpouring Reiki energy.
The initiation/attunement will produce energetic shifts in the students and will be felt on the physical, emotional, mental, as well as spiritual planes. The attunement experience will be unique for each student depending on one's level of personal cultivation, spiritual development, physical and energetic constitution.
In Holy Fire Reiki, the students also experience a pre-cleansing before a class to prepare for the upcoming training.
